The story begins on March 16, 2007, when Pedro Biagi received the deed to purchase a farm in the Sao Paulo Region. The farm had a small mill and an alembic for the production of sugar and Alcohol. An 18/30 electric mill with three suits was responsible for producing 4 thousand bags of sugar in 2007. It worked until the beginning of 2008, establishing the first years of the company BALMTA.
June 27, 2008, The old mill was replaced by a new 20/36, steam, with four suits. Sugar production jumped to 110,000 bags.
August 20, 2008, The first dental office was installed at BALMTA and the first dentist was hired, Dr. Dejalme Santos Gabarra. Dental care is offered by the company until today and includes all employees and family members.
September 15, 2009, Alcohol production begins at BALMTA. The distillery was composed of three columns and produced up to 2,500 liters per day.
February 9, 2012, Production increased to about 115,714 thousand bags of sugar and 764,800 thousand liters of alcohol, all thanks to the acquisition of a new mill 30/54 with four suits. In the same period, the first Rotary Filters and Decanter were installed. Until then, decanting was done in boxes.
October 27, 2013, The company's corporate name was changed to BALMTA Ethanol.
November 10, 2017, The BALMTA Ethanol Plant starts Expansion. In its first harvest, it crushed 1.1 million tons of sugarcane and produced 21.4 million liters of alcohol.
December 15, 2017,Beginning of Industrial automation at BALMTA Ethanol, with the expansion of control of the COI - Industrial Operation Center, where it is possible to monitor all industrial operations in an integrated manner.
